Marian Kauk, 72, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, after a long battle with cancer.Marian was born on March 11, 1944, in Bakersfield, California, to Joseph and Ida Martino. She graduated from North High in 1962. She married the love of her life, James Kauk, on August 21, 1965, in Las Vegas. Marian enjoyed sports, especially baseball and watching her grandson play ball. She was an animal lover and loved her Chihuahuas like her own children. When not at a baseball game, you could find her gambling at the casino or playing mind games on the computer.Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ida Martino; siblings, Joyce Witten, Harold Martino, Don Martino, Joella Christian; and son, Tony Kauk. She is survived by her husband, James Kauk; sons, Gary Kauk (Denay), Kevin Kauk; grandchildren Ashley, Meagan, and Landn.Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 10 a.m., both at Greenlawn Funeral Home Northeast in Bakersfield, CA.
