Mrs. Maria Elena Bumgarner of Fleetwood died Thursday, July 31, 2014. She was 71.

Mrs. Bumgarner was born on September 1, 1942 in Mexico to Serapio Rubalcava and Teresa Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Kenneth Bumgarner and sister, Maria Teresa Diaz.

Mrs. Bumgarner is survived by a daughter, Maria Rubalcava (Donald Garcia) of Chicago; two grandchildren, Angel Rubalcava, (Nidia Margarita) and Andres Rubalcava; four great-grandchildren, Angel Alexis Rubalcava, Emily Kristine Rubalcava, Xitllali Margarita Rubalcava and Angel Rubalcava, Jr.; sister, Juanita Carrillo of Mexico and brother, Manuel Diaz of Los Angeles; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Lee Goodman. Burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
