Maria Mendez, also known as "Mama Maria," passed away on July 13, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. She was born on April 3, 1957, and lived a full and colorful life.

Maria was a devoted mother to her five children, Victoria, Celia, Irma, Estela, and Rosa. She always put her family first and was known for her amazing cooking skills. Her tamales and enchiladas were legendary in the neighborhood!

In addition to being an exceptional mother, Maria was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, whether it was playing in the park or teaching them how to make her famous recipes.

Outside of her family life, Maria was a beloved member of the community. She was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word to those in need. Her infectious laughter and warm smile will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Although Maria may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in peace, Mama Maria.
