On March 22, 2025, the world lost a remarkable soul. Maria Shailos, born on February 12, 1925, in Nicosia, Larnaca, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Maria was a pillar of strength and grace, embodying the true essence of kindness and compassion. She devoted her life to serving others and making a positive impact on her community.

As the President of the Greek philanthropist group of St. Demetrius and the President of Greek events organization, Maria dedicated countless hours to organizing charitable initiatives and cultural celebrations that brought joy and unity to those around her.

Together with her husband, Paul Shailos, Maria raised five children who were the center of her world. Her love and guidance shaped them into the strong, compassionate individuals they are today.

In addition to her children, Maria leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren who will always carry her spirit in their hearts.
