It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Reid, who was born on January 5, 1952, in Princeton, North Carolina, United States. Maria peacefully left this world on July 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was the beloved daughter of Charles and Queen Reid. She was a devoted mother to her four children, Jaden George, Jaeyln George, Xavier George, and Nia Reid. Maria was a dedicated parent who always put her children's needs above her own.

She attended Smithfield Selma High School where she excelled academically and made lifelong friendships. Maria had a passion for learning and was a true scholar at heart.

One of Maria's greatest joys in life was her love for travel, especially to Africa. She had a deep appreciation for different cultures and loved experiencing new adventures. Maria also had a talent for cooking and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.

Although Maria had many hobbies and interests, her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family. She cherished every moment she had with her loved ones and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Unfortunately, Maria's life was cut short due to complications from seizures. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
