Margaret M. Lloyd KENOSHA/ RACINE/ MADISON – Margaret M. Lloyd, age 101, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born on Dec. 31, 1912, in Kenosha, the daughter of Charles and Amy (Hanson) Hansis. On June 10, 1933, Margaret married her childhood sweetheart, Douglas Lloyd and together they had four children. She devoted her life to her family, bringing out the best in each and every one of them. Margaret was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 92 in Kenosha and a member of the Monona Senior Chorus and Messiah Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughters, Jean (Robert) Oleksy of DePere and Jan (Bruce) Piddington of Madison; daughter-in-law, Myrna Lloyd of North Carolina; 14 grandchidren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Donald and Richard; daughter-in-law, Carol; and grandsons, Robert and Michael. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 23, 2014 with Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha. Memorials may be made in Margaret’s name to Messiah Lutheran Church or Agrace HospiceCare.
