Margaret Irene ShellhammerTIFFIN: Margaret Irene Shellhammer, 87, of Tiffin, passed away at 11:05 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin. Margaret was born on June 29, 1929, in Tiffin, to the late William and Hazel Emma (Workley) Baxter. She married Marion A. Shellhammer in Tiffin on January 2, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1985. Survivors include her children, Deb (Richard) Grine of Tiffin, Rick (Deb) Shellhammer of Tiffin, Robert (Rhonda) Shellhammer of Tiffin, and Michael (Tammy) Shellhammer of Gillette, WY, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Bill Baxter of Fostoria.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Robert Baxter, two sisters, Bernice Gottfried and Jean Cleveland.Margaret graduated from Old Fort High School and worked for K-Mart and Sears in Tiffin. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Funeral services for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Andrea Thurston officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at Shiloh Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. or Autumnwood Care Center.
