LUCCHESE, Margaret Grace Margaret Grace Lucchese passed away in peace on November 1st, 2017. She was born on August 20th, 1940, to the late Ella and Jesse Burt. Margaret called Austin home all of her life, and was a beloved and respected elementary teacher for well-over 30 years. A charismatic, forthright and kind woman of faith, she was a beacon, and leaves behind a tremendous legacy of lives touched. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Sam B. Lucchese Jr., sister Laverne Boyd, and brothers-in-law Ralph Boyd and Frankie Miller. She is survived by her son, Sam B. Lucchese III, daughter-in-law Jennifer Lucchese, and grandchildren Talley and Sam. She is also survived by her sister Nelda Miller, nieces Jeanie Goldsberry, Julie Shirley, Pam Lee, Judy Colville and their families, niece Peggy Boyd, sister- and brother-in-law Sally and Jerry Griffin, former husband and companion Lowell Smith, and countless friends. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 1 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218, with a preceding visitation beginning at Noon.
