LIMA — Margaret J. Bowdle, 94, passed away at 10:12 PM on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born on March 16, 1922 in Allen County to Irvin and Dora (Barns) Shilling, who both preceded her in death. On April 6, 1943, she married Dwight D. Bowdle, who preceded her in death on November 22, 1989.
Margaret was a member of South Side Christian Church and a 50 + year member of Lafayette Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had been a member of the Elks and enjoyed playing pinochle.
Surviving are her daughter Barbara (David) Morris of Troy, OH; her grandchildren Joseph D. (Kyle) Morris and Scott Mitchell; her great-grandchildren Taylor Morris, Scott A. Mitchell, Jr. and Roxanna J. Mitchell; one great-great-granddaughter; her sister-in-law Virginia Shilling.
Preceding her in death are her daughter Roxanna J. Mitchell; her brother Harold Shilling; her sister Marjorie Creps.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
Rev. Todd Cosart will officiate the services.
Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire.
