A Life Devoted to Family and Christ

Margaret (Mags) Willington-Boeger passed away on the eighteenth day of March two-thousand eighteen at the age of ninety-two.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Alexander Willington, a World War Two Veteran, and her second husband, Jason Boeger.

Margaret is survived by her son, Justin W.; as well as, her stepsons, Carl B., and David B., and their families. She has a total of nine loving grandchildren (John, Ryan, Eliza, Jake, Michael, Lily, Kristina, Andrew and Tomas) and one great-grandchild, Madison.

Margaret moved to Florida with her late husband, Jason Boeger, in 1978 to retire. it was then that they fulfilled their dream of building a house on land that they owned in Sarasota.

Margaret was a homemaker who enjoyed entertaining, scrapbooking, sewing and gardening. If she was not at home hosting a dinner party she was most likely at St Martha’s Catholic church volunteering in the choir and collecting donations for the St Vincent DePaul society.

A celebration of life ceremony is to be held by the surviving family this June in Baltimore, Maryland at her original family home. invitations with more details will be sent shortly.

a church service in her name has been dedicated by St Martha’s Catholic Church in Sarasota as well as Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O Lakes FL. on the date of Sunday, March 25th, 2018.

Margaret was a devoted Catholic who always taught the importance of faith to her children, the following is a prayer from them to her.

“God of our ancestors in faith, by the covenant made on Mount Sinai You taught Your people to strengthen the bonds of family through faith, honor, and love. Look kindly upon Margaret, a mother who sought to bind her children to You. Bring her to Your heavenly home where the saints dwell in blessedness and peace. Amen.”

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has asked that you graciously donate canned food or other goods to your local chapter of the St Vincent DePaul Society at http://www.svdpusa.org/. This charity focuses on feeding the needy through the kindness of its partnered Catholic diocese.

On a related note, to celebrate Margaret’s love of scrapbooking her grandchildren request that you send any photos or stories you have of your time spent with Margaret so that they may be added to a scrapbook dedicated to her memory. You may post these below in the guestbook or email them to her grandson, Jake Boeger, at [email protected].
