Margaret Starns, of Clinton, Louisiana, passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 82. She was born on July 14, 1943 to Dean and Madeline Casey.

Margaret lived a full and meaningful life centered around her faith, family, and community. She was a proud graduate of Pride High School and went on to build a successful career as an English teacher. Through her dedication and integrity, she earned the utmost respect of many students whose lives she influenced over the years.

Margaret cherished time spent with those she loved most. Her home was often the gathering place for holidays and family celebrations, where laughter, good food, and warm memories were shared. She especially enjoyed Sunday afternoons playing cards with friends, where games of Cadillac and Bourré were filled with friendly competition and plenty of stories. Margaret also loved camping trips to Holly Beach, where she found joy in the simple pleasures of time outdoors and the company of family and friends.

Margaret will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a faithful friend to many. Her kindness, strength, and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family will forever cherish the love she shared and the traditions she helped create.

Survivors include her children, Connie Gerage and her husband Johnny; Chris Michael and his wife Angela; and Melissa Landry and her husband Jason. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shelby Brown, Zoie Landry, and Zacc Landry; and her great-grandchildren, Aidan and Mary Catherine, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Starns; her parents, Mr. Dean Casey and Mrs. Madeline Casey; and her two brothers and one sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Margaret’s life and the many memories she leaves behind.
