Messersmith, Marcus WayneMarcus Wayne Messersmith, 38, Kaukauna, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 8, 2017. He was born on March 30, 1979, in Amery, WI to Leslie and Nancy (Schultz) Messersmith.Marcus was a giving man with a big heart, sharing many smiles and laughs. When the opportunity arose, he was the first to volunteer to help others. Marcus enjoyed golfing and playing softball. Camp Meeting held at Camp Wakonda in Oxford, WI was the highlight of his summer vacation. His chocolate chip cookies were legendary.In 1998, he met Kristy Chism at Wisconsin Academy in Columbus, WI and they were married on October 10, 2009, in Milton, WI. He was a devoted husband, loyal man, proud uncle and diehard Lions fan. Marcus will be greatly missed by his four-legged children, Cinna and Mushu.He is survived by his wife, Kristy; parents, Leslie and Nancy; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Frank Chism; his siblings, Jamie (Glenn) Pearson and Jason (Melanie) Messersmith; brothers-in-law, Scott and Lee (Lesa) Chism; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Friends may call at Green Bay Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1414 Shawano Ave., from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. William Ochs and Rev. Carlos Anchetta officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
