It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcus Smith, who passed away on February 6, 2025, in Sauk Village, Illinois. He was born on February 16, 1965, to James and Juanita Smith.

Marcus leaves behind his wife, Ayo Saunders Smith, four sisters; Audrey Rucker (Steve), Vodra Shaw (Robert), April Smith, Jannetta Brass, Andrea Smith and one brother James Smith II.,

He attended Muskogee High School and graduated in 1984, laying the foundation for a successful career ahead. Marcus dedicated many years of his life to working at Lynn Mathis, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

Outside of work, Marcus enjoyed fishing and watching sports in his spare time. He also took great pride in maintaining his lawn and flower beds, always ensuring they were in perfect condition.

Marcus will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and his love for the simple joys in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
