Marcus Smith was born on August 19, 1986, in Greenville, Mississippi, United States to David and Veronica Reed. He grew up in Greenville and attended Greenville Weston High School, graduating in 2005.

After completing high school, Marcus went on to pursue a career in construction, where he excelled as a skilled craftsman. He was known for his dedication and hard work, as well as his friendly and outgoing personality.

Throughout his life, Marcus was a loving sibling to KaMya Reed and Cedric Reed. They shared many happy moments together and supported each other through thick and thin. Marcus was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Tragically, Marcus's life was cut short on April 14, 2024, when he was fatally shot by police. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, but those who knew Marcus remember him as a kind and gentle soul who was taken from this world too soon.

Marcus leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and loved ones.
