Celebration of Life

It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Marcia Kay Thomas, a beloved mother, cherished friend, and remarkable woman who enriched the lives of everyone she met. Marcia peacefully departed this world on February 15, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.

Born on May 19, 1942, in the serene town of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Marcia was the cherished daughter of the late Marcella Lee. From her earliest days, Marcia demonstrated a warmth and generosity of spirit that would define her life. She grew up amidst the natural beauty of Wisconsin, where she developed a lifelong love of baking—a passion that brought joy and comfort to family and friends alike.

Marcia was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kitchen was often filled with the irresistible aroma of her baked goods, a testament to her love for baking and her desire to bring happiness to others. Whether it was a batch of her famous cookies or a lovingly crafted pie, Marcia's creations were more than just food; they were expressions of her boundless affection and care.

Beyond her culinary talents, Marcia was known for her ability to bring peace and joy to those around her, gentle nature and unwavering positivity created an atmosphere of calm and contentment, making her home a sanctuary for family and friends. She possessed an innate ability to listen, understand, and offer guidance, leaving an indelible impact on the hearts of all who sought her wisdom.

Marcia's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her four devoted sons: Richard, Randy, Todd, and Scott Thomas. Her love for her children was immeasurable, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and the men they became. Her nurturing spirit and steadfast support were constants in their lives, and her memory will forever be cherished by them. She blessed the world with seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren as her legacy will live on.

In reflecting on Marcia's life, her family shared a heartfelt message: "Marcia was a wonderful lady who loved life and loved her family and friends very much. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her." These words capture the essence of a woman whose life was defined by love, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

As we bid farewell to Marcia, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to inspire us all.

A celebration of Marcia's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of a life well-lived.
