Lighthearted Obituary

Makai Bello-Brandon

Born: April 1, 1973

Died: October 3, 2023

Location: Abuja, FCT, Nigeria

Oh, what a joyous soul we had in our dear friend Makai Bello-Brandon! With a zest for life and a perpetual smile on his face, he brought light and laughter to all who knew him in Abuja.

Makai was born on April 1, 1973, a day that suited his mischievous spirit perfectly. From the start, he had a spark in his eyes that hinted at the adventures to come. His parents, Mckinley Sr. and Delthia, surely knew that they were in for a lifetime of surprises.

As a child, Makai attended Bethel Academy High School, where he quickly became known for his infectious laughter and clever pranks. He would often regale his classmates and teachers with hilarious anecdotes during school assemblies, ensuring that no one could ever have a dull moment in his presence.

After completing his high school education, Makai pursued further studies at Duke University. This prestigious institution not only expanded his knowledge, but it also provided him with a whole new canvas on which to showcase his playful personality.

But it wasn't just laughter and pranks that defined Makai. He was a devoted father to his two beautiful children, Kai and Iva. The love he had for them radiated from his heart, and they were his greatest source of pride. Makai cherished every moment spent with his kids, sharing jokes, playing games, and imparting life lessons with his signature wit.

While Makai's untimely departure leaves us heartbroken, we can take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to live on through his children and the memories he created. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and joy, reminding us to always find humor in life's trials and tribulations.

Makai is survived by his loving brother Mckinley Jr, who will surely keep his memory alive with his own mischievous antics. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his children, Kai and Iva, as they navigate this difficult time, knowing that their dad's love will forever surround them.

Rest in eternal amusement, dear Makai. You have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and the world will always be a little brighter because you were here.

You can to the family or in memory of Makai Bello-Brandon.
