Our beloved Maile Anna Kelly moved on from this earth far too soon on April 29th, 2017 at the age of 22.

She is survived by her father, Timothy Kelly; mother, LeAnna McMurtrey; step-father, Michael McMurtrey; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Brandon Dalton; brother, Evan Kelly; maternal grandparents, Carter Freeman and Carole Fleming; step-grandmother, Nancy Freeman; her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Kelly; three uncles and four aunts; her niece and nephew, Tiali Kelly and Finnagin Dalton, her boyfriend, Kyle Wood, and numerous first cousins.

Maile was a special young woman who was often nicknamed “Smiley Maile” by those who knew her. She thrived in the outdoors and was an avid camper, kayaker and hiker. Maile was a talented “hooper” and loved to attend outdoor music festivals with her friends and to spend time with her close-knit family. Maile’s zest for life and giving spirit will be with us always. We love you, dear Maile.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 21st at the Howarth Park Upper Oak Picnic area in Santa Rosa from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maile’s family through her go-fund-me account (Friends of Maile Kelly Fund). Proceeds which exceed the expense of her final needs will go to a charity in Maile’s honor to be chosen by her family.
