It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mae Mottweiler, who peacefully left this world on February 12, 2026 in Garland, Maine, United States. She was born on December 16, 1933 to James and Lona Hatton.

On December 29, 1962, Mae married the love of her life, Bruce Mottweiler, and together they raised five children. Mae was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.

Mae was a hardworking individual who found joy in her career at Simplicity Pattern. She was also dedicated to her community, spending her free time helping organize Bible study groups as a Hostess. In her spare time, Mae enjoyed knitting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones.

Mae's memory will live on in the hearts of her children and ten grandchildren, as well as in the lives of all those she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
