Mae Hughes-Donnell, 75, of KCK, Kansas, United States, passed Thursday, May 28, 2020. Mae was born December 26, 1944 she was the first born child to Minnie Lee Johnson in Tillar Arkansas. She was raised by her grandparents, Alfred and Fannie Harris.

Mae Helen grew up picking cotton and working in the fields. She also helped her grandmother with cooking and cleaning. She attended school at Coin Bay in Arkansas District when she didn't have to work the fields.

Mae Helen met Aaron Hughes, Sr.(deceased) in 1957 and the two United in marriage in 1960 in Arkansas. To this union six children were born, Raymond, Aaron II, Azzie, Deodies, Curtis and zalton Hughes.

Mae Helen moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1964 with the help of Uncle Fox, One of her favorite uncle's Earl Harris Sr, and Johnny Mae helped her with her first real job working at the Holiday Inn, Coca Cola, The Woodlands, Town Country and Medical Lodge South where she retired after working there for over 20 years. She loved fishing and her roses.

In 1968 Mae Helen met Marshall Donnell(deceased) in Kansas City, Kansas. To this union five children were born, Michelle(deceased), Tywan(deceased) Lisa, Marsha and Ieisha, Donnell Hudson.

Mae Helen's most rewarding job was being a mother and big sister. She loved her family, friends, life and would do anything for anybody at any given time when she was needed. Mae Helen was a woman of integrity, giving more thr N herself, she gave 150%. She was unselfish, loving and giving. Mae Helen also pushed one of her son's to be o e a WWF Superstar, WCW Superstar hall of Fame. Another son, who has served the first African American Preseident at the White house; God has put many blessings in her life including her son that is an Ordained Minister.
