MABEL "MERT" MAY ZEHR, 95, passed away at Ashton Creek Health & Rehab Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on March 31, 1921 in Wauseon Ohio. She was a member of Carroll Community Church. Mert loved gardening and baking, but most of all spending time with family. She patiently awaits the arrival of her children, Jerald L. (Ann) Zehr, Archie D. (Connie) Zehr, Lynn K. (Amy) Zehr; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-laws, Susan and Carole Zehr; and son-in-law Kenneth Bowen. She was reunited with her loving husband, Michael Monroe Zehr, on Nov. 17, 2016, as well as her children, James Lamar Zehr, Joyce Elaine Bowen, Michael K. Zehr; her granddaughters, Jennifer Sue, Velvet L. Bowen-Heiniger; and seven siblings. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E.Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Verlin Haarer officiating.
