Lytle Richard Williamson, 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born on October 12, 1927 to Opal Mae (Allen) and Lytle Wesley Williamson in Upland, CA. He graduated from Tustin High School in Tustin, CA and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA as an Electrical Engineer. He tested the Engines for the Apollo program for NASA. He designed an instrument to determine if there was life on Mars for the Viking Lander. He served in the US Coast Guard as a Radio Operator. He is survived by his wife, Nina, of 52 years; daughter, Tamy Duke and husband, Jim, of Cypress, TX; son, Rich Williamson and wife, Cheri, of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Lisa McClure, and husband, Wes, of Mesa, AZ; son, Chris Williamson, and wife, Ronda, of Lehi, UT; son, Aaron Williamson, and wife, Bonnie, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael Murley, Jacob Duke, Michelle Savala, Ryan Williamson, Greg Williamson, LeeAnne Mendenhall, Erin Twitchell, Levi Martinez, Chayton Martinez. Casey McClure, Hallie McClure, Alexa Williamson, Keaton Williamson, Hunter Williamson, Parker Williamson, Alli Williamson, Ashley Williamson, Chloe Williamson, Carson Williamson; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents along with his brother, Darrell. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until the start of the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 12701 Indian School Road NE.
