Luther Shields 64, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed Monday, March 19, 2018. Luther was born to Gerald Shields, and Gertrude Shields, April 14, 1953

Luther graduated from Tech in 1973. He married Le'anne Stevens' Shields in 1981 and they lived together in Omaha. Luther worked at Campbell Soup until he retired in 1993.

Luther is survived by 4 children: Luther Shields (Lucy Shields), Elder Shields (Otis Shields). He also is survived by 4 grandchildren.

Like sprigs of morning glory
Upon the vine, they grow
With branches reaching outward
Into my heart, you go.

Just like a special angel
God wrapped you in His care
And took you off to heaven
To live with Him, up there.

But often, I still see you
Upon a light blue sky
And long so much to hold you
Why did you have to die?
