She married Luke Evans in 1973 and they lived together in Atlanta, Georgia. Together they raised 2 children Cierra Evans (Antonio evans ), Annie Evans (Charlotte evans ). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Luke graduated from Washington high school in 1978.

Luke worked at Nurse until he retired in 25 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.
