Raduenz, Luke C.Luke C. Raduenz, age 27, of Jacksonville NC, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident. Luke is the son of Eric and Robin (Brunner) Raduenz formerly of Manitowoc.Luke was born on January 10, 1988, and a 2006 graduate of Lincoln High School. Upon graduation, Luke joined the
United States Marine Corps in August 2006 and was assigned as a motor vehicle operator in Okinawa Japan. In 2008, Luke was transferred to MCB Camp Lejeune, NC where he achieved the rank of Sergeant and participated in two combat tours in Afghanistan. An eight year veteran, Luke is awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (w/2 Stars), Global War on Terrorism Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (4), and the NATO Medal.Luke is survived by his parents: Eric and Robin Raduenz (Jacksonville NC); sister: Kara Raduenz (St. Joseph IL); paternal grandmother: Mary Raduenz; maternal grandparents: Roger and Colleen Brunner. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and other cousins. Luke was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Erle C. Raduenz.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Beaudry is officiating. The family will greet family and friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department's K-9 Unit.
