Luis Alberto Fernandez, Jr., 49 yrs. old, currently living in Savannah, GA passed away due to a motorcycle accident on August 23, 2020. Luis, as he was called Junior, and also Louie and Pops, was born in Manhattan, NY on November 25, 1970, to Juanita Acevedo and Luis A. Fernandez, Sr. He was raised in the Bronx, NY. 

Luis worked as a truck driver, which he loved doing even though the hours were long, and he was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; especially playing with the kids. That is because he was a kid at heart. He was a loving, kind, and caring son, brother, uncle, father, nephew, cousin, and friend to all. He then found a new love, riding a motorcycle. It allowed him to be a free spirit. Luis was also a proud member of the Latin American Motorcycle Association.  

He shared his life with Jeannette Rosario for 20+ years and they lived in Savannah, GA. Together they raised Yasmin, Luisito, Kenny, Genesis, Tabatha, Anthony, Jayden,
Keishenna, Elijah, Chris, Alexis, and Gio his son.  

He was proud of many things he accomplished such as going back to school and getting his General Equivalency Diploma and obtaining his CDL. The greatest one by far was being a father.  

Luis is survived by Luis Alberto Fernandez, Sr. - Father, Juanita Flores - Mother, Catherine Fernandez - Sister, Nydia Varges - Sister, and Nadia Nieves - Sister.  

Memorial services will be held at Porta Coelli San German Funeral Home located at 1822 Westchester Avenue, Bronx, NY on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
