Kirk, Luella J.Luella J Kirk, 94, passed away on November 19, 2016 at Century Oaks in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was born on April 19, 1922 to her loving parents Walter and Elsie (Ziemke) Turner in West Bloomfield, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Weyawega High School class of 1940. Luella (Turner) and Fred Kirk were married on March 15, 1947 in Appleton, Wiscnsin. Together they raised three children. They enjoyed bowling in couples and singles leagues. Her skill translated well in Wii bowling. Luella was passionate about her floral gardens and took pride in her roses. Most of all Luella was a friend to all she met and was able to instantly recall their names.Luella will be missed by her loving family, children Richard "Dick" (Cynthia) Kirk, Sharon Funk and Roger Kirk, grandchildren Lori (Ethan) Kent, Lisa (Bradley Thompson) Funk and George (Sarah) Funk. Further survived by many great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, other relatives and many, many friends.Preceded in death by her husband Fred, parents Walter and Elsie, son-in-law Louis Funk, siblings Marion Turner, Gordon Turner, Eleanor Neuman, Mavis Jones and Ethelyn Scheider, as well as all of her husband Fred's siblings.A Funeral Service for Luella will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11 am at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison St., Appleton. Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. Private interment Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of Service.Memorials in Luella's name may be made to the Ladies Aide at St. Paul Ev.
