She was born on January 7, 1924, to Jose and Begnigna (Nava) Garcia in Asherton, Texas.Lucy loved to volunteer and feed the homeless at Cedar Creek Church.Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Aurora Duran, Juan Garcia, Benita Barrera, Benancia Bazan, Juanita Martinez, Cirilo Garcia, Tomasa Bermejo, Jesus Garcia; son, Marcos Gomez; daughter, Manuela Gomez; and grandchild, Michael Salas.Left to cherish her memory are is her brother, Ray Garcia; children, Eddie (Betty) Garcia, Rose (Vic) Bowlick, Lenore (Howard) Osenbaugh, Handrea (Dave) Fischer, and Ramona Gomez; 21 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH 43616.
