Nemec, Lucille E.Lucille E. Nemec, 92, Marshfield, died on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Palliative Care, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Andrew Wilson and Rev. Daryn Bahn officiating. Burial will take place in Trinity North Spencer Cemetery and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 9:00 am on Wednesday until service time at Christ Lutheran Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Lucille was born on April 18, 1924 in the Town of McMillan, Marathon County, to Otto and Augusta (Degner) Kloehn. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Town of McMillan and also attended country school in the Town of McMillan. She also attended Purdy High School in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to George A. Nemec on November 1, 1941 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, McMillan. He died June of 2006. After their marriage, the Nemec's worked for Thorton Green Farm until 1950 when they purchased their own farm in the Town of Brighton, Marathon County. They farmed there until their retirement and in 1989 moved to Pier Lake in Tripoli, Wisconsin where they lived for several years until moving to Marshfield. Lucille had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer and its Ladies Aid and the Brighton Sewing Club. After moving to Marshfield, she became a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting, playing sheepshead, reading and family gatherings. While living in Marshfield, she enjoyed many visits to the zoo and the library. She is survived by her children, Carol (Howard) Rand of Marshfield, Karl (Janice) Nemec of Loyal and Keith Nemec of Spencer. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Stacy, Andrea, Benjamin, Jessica, Jason and Joshua and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, Tanya Rand, 4 brothers and 1 sister. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staffs of Atrium Post Acute Care and Ministry St. Joseph's Palliative Care. Memorials may be designated in Lucille's name to Christ Lutheran Church, The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library or the Marshfield Zoological Society.
