Swensen, Lucille A.Lucille A. Swensen, 94, Marshfield and Hewitt, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt. Burial will take place in St. Michael's Parish Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Brian Sauer, Steve Hofmann, Michelle Theisen, Kevin Swensen, Kyle Swensen, Tera Wiesman, Wyatt Drexler, Jeremy Mueller and Lisa Prasnicky. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Michael's Catholic Church.Lucille was born on April 4, 1923 in Rozellville, to Louis and Rose (Bredl) Pankratz. Her father died when Lucille was 6 years old and her mother married Floyd Rogney. Lucille was united in marriage to Norman W. Swensen on August 29, 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. He died on October 9, 1982. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Marshfield, where she was a devoted wife and mother.Lucille was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt and the Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, bowling, fishing and gardening. She also was musically talented, singing, playing guitar, banjo, accordion and the keyboard. Lucille is survived by her children: Mary Jane (Robert) Hofmann, Colleen (Arnold) Stini, all of Marshfield, Joann (Jerome) Haffenbredl of Auburndale, Jerome (Kathy) Swensen of Marshfield, Ardell (Michael) Mueller of Wisconsin Rapids, Glenn (Ardine) Swensen, Donald Swensen (Lori) and Ann Marie (Scott) Drexler and a son-in-law, Mark Sauer, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by 4 half-brothers, Roger (Pat) Rogney, Clifford (Joyce) Rogney, Cletus (Norma) Rogney and Ronald (Lois) Rogney and a sister-in-law, Helen Pankratz. She was preceded in death by her parents (Louis and Rose Bredl Pankratz), her stepfather (Floyd Rogney), her husband (Norman), a son Joseph in infancy, a daughter, Carolyn Sauer, a brother, Richard Pankratz and a sister, Loretta Ertl. The family wishes to thank Hannah Shilts and staff of Serenity Living and the nurses and staff of 6 North at Marshfield Medical Center for their loving care.
