Louise C. GilstrapGreenvilleLouise C. Gilstrap went home to be with her Lord on September 26, 2017. She was born on January 21, 1937 in Greenville to the late James W. and Edna T. Childers Jr. and was residing at Rolling Green Village in Greenville. Louise was a graduate of Greenville High School and Columbia College and worked for several medical practices in the Greenville area and worked part time with the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce before retiring in 2013. Louise was predeceased by her husband, the late Walter Homer Gilstrap. Surviving is her daughter, Gwen Gilstrap of Greenville, a brother, James W. Childers III, his wife Toni of Greenville, and a nephew, Bryan W. Childers of Greenville. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial service at First Presbyterian Church in the Harper Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Claire Ripley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the parlor of the church. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 200 W.
