Louise BakerWaynesville - Louise Booth Williams Baker, age 77, died on November 5, 2016. She was born on January 16, 1939 in Atlanta, GA to the late James Booth Williams and Frances Elizabeth Verdery Williams of Monroe GA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was predeceased by her brother, James Booth Williams, Jr., of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Baker's father was a prominent citizen of Monroe being a property owner, mayor and Director of the Federal Land Bank in Columbia, SC. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Frances Elizabeth Baker Brown (Mark) and Jean Paul Baker Reid (Scotty); her sister Elizabeth Williams McDonald; and four grandchildren.Mrs. Baker moved to Waynesville in 1977. She was a native of Monroe, GA, graduating from Monroe High School and attending Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA for two years before transferring to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. In Waynesville, Mrs. Baker was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in the Mountains where she served two terms on the Vestry and served as Junior Warden. Mrs. Baker was a realtor with Main Street Realty in Waynesville from 1982 to 2013. Her tag line was "a Georgia Peach turned Carolina Tar Heel". She was a member of the Board of Realtors, along with being a board member of The Community Foundation, Haywood Community College Foundation and the Fund for Haywood County.A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Grace Church in the Mountains in Waynesville. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Foundation of WNC (CFWNC), The Fund for Haywood County, P.O.
