This obituary is administered by:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Lentes. Born on April 7, 1946, Louis left us on January 3, 2026, leaving a void that cannot be filled. His memory will forever be held fondly in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Louis is survived by his two sons, Louis Lentes and David Lentes. His legacy also lives on in his adoring grandchildren: Jadon Lentes, Louis Lentes, Kishi Lentes, and Natasha Lentes. Each of them will remember him not just as a father or grandfather, but as a guiding light in their lives.

Louis had a strong personality, being stern yet witty, respectful, and strong. His mantra in life was to "Treat people how you want them to treat you," a lesson he never hesitated to share. One of his proudest accomplishments was being the first person in his family to graduate from college, setting a precedent for his descendants to follow.

He had a deep fondness for BBQ chips and sweet tea, alongside a love for the literary classic, 'Catcher in the Rye'. A dedicated fan of Michael Jackson, he would often be seen humming to his songs. Louis also had a love for the big screen, with 'Malcolm X' being one of his favorite movies. The Detroit Lions held a special place in his heart, alongside his love for chess. Louis also found joy in simple pleasures like fishing, watching sports, and vacationing in Miami.

Known for his fitness, Louis loved to stay active by doing push-ups and running, but his stern exterior was complemented by a surprising love for the color black. His favorite way to relax was to visit his favorite fishing spots or enjoy a game of chess.

Louis's legacy is one of strength, respect, and wisdom. His lesson of treating people kindly has shaped the lives of not only his family but all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.

We serve to remember him, not just as a loving father and grandfather, but as a gentleman who taught us how to live, how to love, and how to leave a positive mark on this world. The greatest tribute we can give him is to live by his lessons and keep his memory alive in our actions. He will be missed by all.

You can to the family or in memory of Louis Lentes.
