Louis "Big Daddy" MartinSan AngeloLouis "Big Daddy" Martin, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 1, 2017, with his family at his side. He was born on December 17, 1934 in Bakewell, Tennessee.Louis is survived by his wife of 61 years, JoAnn; his children, Michael Polk, Louis Martin Jr., Jeffery Martin, Gerald Martin (Beth) and Angela Anderson. He leaves behind 11 grandchildren, LaQuisha and Gerald Polk, Louis Martin III and JoAnn Martin, Ross Martin, Meagan Martin, Moriah Martin, Mikaela Martin, Taj Kelly, Jalen and Jorden Anderson. He will also be missed by his sisters and brothers, Andre, Ann, Vera, Scott, Darryl and Vel.Louis was a husband, father and "Big Daddy" to all who knew him. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service. His passion was walking on the Dam, playing dominos, and enjoying his babies.Memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at St. Paul's Baptist Church.
