Lyons, 78, passed away on January 31, 2017 in Rockledge, FL.He was born on March 14, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA to parents Benjamin and Jenny Lyons.He moved to Cocoa in the 1970s, marrying his wife, Jan, in 1978.He worked as an X-ray technician at Parrish Medical Center and Wuesthoff Hospital for many years and operated the first lithotripsy machine in the state of Florida.Louis was a member of the Merritt Island Moose Lodge, had a love for fishing, cooking, and dancing--he was proud to say that he appeared on American Bandstand as a teen.He was predeceased by his beloved son, Louie and his sister, Rose "Toots" (Gene) Di Pilla.Louis is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jan; his children, Lorraine (Bob) Fanelli, Christine (Dory) Brunson, and Cathleen (Jeff) Quinn; his brother, Charlie (Choo) Lyons; five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 3 nephews.A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3rd, from 2-3 pm with a funeral service at 3 pm at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately following the service at Brevard Memorial Park.
