Lougenia Shell, beloved resident of Belton, South Carolina, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on September 2, 1947, Lougenia lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She married her sweetheart, Willie Shell, in 1965, and together they raised four wonderful children: Wilma, Ester, Annette, and Phyllis.

Lougenia was known for her infectious laugh, warm smile, and incredible green thumb. She could often be found tending to her garden, growing the most beautiful flowers in the neighborhood.

She adored her eight grandchildren, Kristan Byrd, Kimberly Shell, Josh Byrd, Nick Byrd, Indigo , Xavier, and KeZario Johnson (passed), Briana and Brittney Children who brought her so much joy and laughter over the years.

Lougenia will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Shell’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her impact everlasting. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
