LOSSIE BUSBEE, 98, of Kinston, North Carolina, passed on August 18, 2023. LOSSIE was born on November 07, 1924. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lossie Busbee, a beloved member of the Kinston, North Carolina community. Lossie was born on November 7th, 1924 in Jacksonville, NC., to John and Martha Grays.

Her departure has left an enormous void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Lossie was a kind, compassionate, and determined woman who dedicated her life to making a positive impact on those around her. As a lifelong resident of Kinston, Lossie was a well-known figure in the community and played an instrumental role in various church volunteer activities. She enjoyed sewing, going to church, and cooking. Lossie loved her family very much and she will be very missed. In 1944 she later married Walter Suggs who preceded her in death and shared 3 children together. She is survived by (son) Ollie M.Busbee, (daughters) Barbara Hairston and Freida Sharpe who also preceded her in death, (grandson) Eric Busbee, (great-grandson) Christopher Busbee and many more relatives and friends..

The family will hold a private service on August 26, 2023 at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church 1003 W. New Bern Rd. Kinston, NC 29504 from 1-3 pm.
