It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorna Laskes, born on January 1, 1946, in Adrian, Michigan, United States. Lorna passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 79.

Lorna was the beloved daughter of Roy and Mildred (Macomber) Brighten. She was lovingly married to Rodger Laskes in 1961 and together they raised three children, sons Albert (with spouse Samantha), Alexander (with spouse Denise), and Jackie Oberski. Lorna was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren; Charles (with spouse Kathryn), Mike (with spouse Robyn), Rachel (with spouse Tabby), Carmen (with spouse Tomas), and Caitlyn (with spouse Kyle)

Lorna had a passion for crocheting, cooking, baking, crafting, and thrifting. She was known for her creativity and dedication to her hobbies, bringing joy to those around her with her handmade creations.

Lorna passed away due to congestive heart failure, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A private funeral and burial was held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetary.

A celebration of life open to friends and extended family will take place at a later date.
