Loretta AdamsAGE: 74 • VinelandLoretta (Red) Adams, 74, of Vineland, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Loretta was surrounded by her loving children, family and friends during her courageous fight. Loretta was born on April 19, 1942 in the Bronx, NY to her late, loving parents Robert and Ella Brown. She was the widowed wife of Army Veteran, Halbert E. Adams, who died Sept. 11, 1968. She was born and raised in New York City and then relocated to Vineland, New Jersey in 1976. She is survived by her daughter, Katrina Williams; her son, Anthony Adams; and her three grandsons, Derrick Williams, Quincy and Darrion Adams, as well as, her best friend Marva Milbourne. She is pre-deceased by her son Keith Adams and daughter Kimberly Adams Loretta retired from the Vineland Developmental Center (formerly known as the State School) where she served 28 years of service.In addition to being a devoted mother, grandmother, relative and friend to all who knew her, Loretta was a true servant of the Lord. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years where she served as a dedicated Greeter of the church until she took her last breath. She will always be remembered for her ever-present smile, good natured humor, sharp dresser and strong character.And now that her journey here has ended and her new journey with God commences she can rest in peace-confident that her life was well-lived.Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1837 NE Blvd, Vineland, NJ. Viewing will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm. The Service will begin at 1:00pm.
