We are saddened to announce the passing of Loretta Sledge, who left this world on February 10, 2025, at the age of 86 in Detroit, Michigan.

Loretta was born on March 24, 1938, in the Motor City, where she spent her entire life bringing joy and laughter to those around her.

After graduating from Cass Tech High School, Loretta embarked on a successful career and touched the lives of many along the way. She had a passion for life and a love for adventure that was infectious to all who knew her.

Although Loretta never had children of her own, she cherished her 10 grandchildren who brought endless happiness into her life.

She will be remembered for her wit, her big heart, and her love of Detroit sports teams. Loretta was a true gem of a person who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rest in peace, Loretta, and may your spirit continue to bring light to those who loved you.
