Graveside services will be 10:30 am Sunday March 19, 2017 at Jewish Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.Lora Lee Spiro was born on July 2, 1932 in Syracuse, New York. She married Cantor Pinchas Spiro on August 6, 1950.Lora had been active in Tifereth Israel Women's League ever since she and her husband moved to Des Moines in 1973. Over the years she has written, produced and directed over 50 programs, many of them musicals, featuring men, women and children of Tifereth Israel. Several of her scripts have been published and distributed by National Women's League for Conservative Judaism.She and her husband had performed together in many cities throughout the country. When their children were teenagers, they all toured as the Spiro Family.She is survived by her son Michael (Gail) Spiro of Ohio, daughter Dina (Ephraim) Golan, of Israel, grandchildren Noga, Yoav and Tal Golan, Julian, Corey, Sydney and Elijah Spiro.
