Londa McCormickMANSFIELD: Londa McCormick, 68, of Mansfield passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. She was born on February 16, 1949 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Ethan and Charlotte (Rock) Allen.Londa was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a graduate of Crestview High School, and was a lifelong resident of Mansfield. She worked at the Raintree for 26 years and with other associations assisting MRDD individuals, where she had a deep passion for helping the handicap. Londa taught herself to sew, loved gardening, watching the hummingbirds, baking, cooking and watching the Indians.Londa is survived by her husband of 44 years, William McCormick; three children, William McCormick, Robert McCormick, and Amy (Travis) Clark; four grandchildren, Ryan Clark, Kaylee McCormick, Chandler McCormick. and Autumn Clark; her siblings, Dixie Murphy, Bill (Charlotte) Allen, Leslie Allen, Linda Bodes, and Mary Lord; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeanie McCormick, Mike (Becky) McCormick, Ann Marie Hess, and Ricky McCormick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.Friends and family may visit from 1:30-2:30pm on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Pastor Matthew Pond will officiate a funeral service following at 2:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mansfield Cemetery.
