Lois Doreen McConnell "Happy Quilting" Lois was born on August 7th, 1934 in Tacoma. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 21st, 2017. Lois enjoyed being with her family at home and in the great outdoors. She spent most of her later years quilting and passing time with her friends at the Spana-Park Senior Center. She will be dearly missed by all. Lois is survived by her son Phillip C. McConnell and fianc‚ Kathleen Etheredge, daughter Stacy R. Welden and husband Jeff; grandchildren Aaron C. McConnell, Blaine P. McConnell and fianc‚ Bjork Odinsdottir, (mom Tamara McConnell), Kennedy A. Welden and fianc‚ Blaine Pearcy; great grandchildren Tori L. and Alexa K. McConnell (mom Jennifer McConnell); nieces Toni, Terri, Kathy and Karla. Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Phillip H. McConnell, sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Robert McConnell, brother Richard Heller, and nephews Pat and Robert McConnell. A celebration of Lois's life will be held with family and friends at The Spana-Park Senior Center (325 152nd St. E. Tacoma WA 98445) on April 22nd from 1PM to 4PM.
