Lois M. Huissen1934 2014Lois M. Huissen, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 at her residence.She was born on Dec. 31, 1934 to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Staton) Rogin in Kenosha. She was educated at St. Marks School and St. Catherines High School. After high school, she attended and graduated from St. Lukes Nursing School.On April 2, 1960 she married Harold Huissen in Kenosha.Lois worked as a Certified RN in psychiatric care. She worked at Kenosha Memorial Hospital for 20 years and then at St. Lukes Hospital in Racine, retiring in 1989.Lois was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, the Catholic Womens League, a member of NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) and a member of the Lois Club.Lois was an avid bear collector, a dedicated Packer fan and loved playing Monopoly with her grandchildren, making it an annual event. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.Lois is survived by her husband, Harold; her children, Kathleen (Stanley) Dugas of Racine, Donna (Peter) DeBree of Salem, Christine (Donald) Sireci of Saratoga, Calif., Lynda (Thomas) Pfeiffer of Somers, Carol Ann Hall of Kenosha, Kenneth (Mary) Huissen of Kenosha and David Huissen of Kenosha; her 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.She is preceded in death by her sister, Marianne Thompson and her granddaughter, Jennifer Christine Sireci.A Mass of Christian Burial for Lois will be held on Friday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church (2224 30th Ave.). Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home and again on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
