Lois M. Gabriel 1934 - 2016 Lois M. Gabriel, 81, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at her residence. She was born on March 21, 1934, to the late Robert and Evelyn (Badtke) Gehrke in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. On Oct. 18, 1950, she married John Hawley Sr. in Illinois. They later divorced. She then married Edward Gabriel Jr. in Illinois. They also later divorced. Lois worked as a CNA and ward clerk for St. Catherine's Hospital for over 40 years. Lois was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army and at Washington Manor. She also enjoyed knitting, reading, watching old movies and the Big Bang Theory. Lois is survived by her children Louise E. Galdonik of Racine, John (Cynthia) Hawley Jr. of Stevens Point, Dorothy (David) Baker of Somers, Roberta J. Hawley of Kenosha and Guy (Gabriella) Hawley of Kenosha, her grandchildren Aaron Galdonik, Jennifer (Josh) Wedel, Stephanie (Ehron) Zech, Matthew (Rev. Anne) Schnaare, Benjamin (Amanda) Schnaare, Elizabeth (Christopher) Summer, Jessica Hawley and Angela (Daniel) Lupi and her great grandchildren Charlotte, Phoebe, Daphne, Evelyn, Max, Alex and Vinnie. She is preceded in death by her son Edward Gabriel III, a brother Robert Gehrke and a sister Carol Whittier. Funeral Services for Lois will be held on Friday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (2006 – 60th St.). Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and again Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Grace Lutheran Church.
