Lois Flowers Williams KerseyOur beloved mother, Lois Flowers Williams Kersey, age 101, passed away at Mountain City Care & Rehab Center of Mountain City TN on Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born on December 21, 1915 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of the late George and Blanche Cooper Flowers.Lois lived in Quinby, VA until her move to Tennessee in 2007. She was a member of Exmore Baptist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Delores Bower of Butler, TN; two sons: Larry Williams of Grasslake, MI and Christopher Flowers of Durham, NC and a daughter of another mother, Flosey Swain; two sisters: Alma (Tennie) Lewis and Freda Schragle both of Norfolk, VA; twenty grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.Lois was preceded in death her late husband Robert Kersey, three daughters: Catherine (Kitty) Butler, Norma Jean and Gloria Jean Williams; one son, James L. Williams; four sisters and two brothers.Family and friends are asked to assemble at Woodlawn Cemetery on VA Beach Blvd in Norfolk VA on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. for the Graveside Service with the Pastor of Exmore Baptist Church, Jonathan C. Carpenter, to officiate. Flowers will be accepted at the cemetery from 12:15 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
