It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Butler-Goshay, born on December 24, 1964, and departed from this world on December 30, 2025. She resided in Atlanta, Georgia, with her loving husband James Goshay Jr, whom she married in 2009.

Lisa was the beloved daughter of Willie Radford and Ruby Tisinger. Also a loving sister to Lester Butler Sr (deceased) Roosevelt Tisinger, Marcus Tisinger, and Tony Howard, and the devoted mother of Mario Butler, Marino Butler, and Alisha Butler. She was also a proud grandmother to three precious grandchildren Azariah Butler(deceased) Brianna Stevenson, and Aisha Adkins. Also leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

She attended George Washington Carver High School, graduating in 1983, before pursuing further education at Atlanta's Technical College where she obtained multiple degrees and certificates. Lisa dedicated her career to serving at Veterans Affairs, where she touched the lives of many with her caring nature.

Aside from her professional pursuits, Lisa had a zest for life. She enjoyed singing, dancing, doing hair, and indulging in a little retail therapy whenever she could. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Although we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Lisa is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
