Linda Lou YoungLinda Lou Young, 71, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Linda was born on August 5, 1945 in Adams County, IN to the late Thomas O. and Ester (Collier) Farmer.  Linda married Douglas A. Young on July 25, 1964 in Kingsport, TN, and he survives.  She worked in cleaning personnel for M.J.V. Group Inc. for 11 years.  Linda was a great mother, and most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter.  She was also an avid reader, and enjoyed embroidery. Surviving along with her husband, is one daughter, Annette Young of West Lafayette, one granddaughter, Lindie Marie Kim, and Lindie's father, Monte Kim.  Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Lolita Kressin, of Knoxville, TN, two nephews, Mike Flack and Lee Flack, both of Lafayette, and several other nieces and nephews of North Carolina.She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Gloria Mary Flack, and Mary Jo Kenner.Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care with Celebrant Theresa Fischer officiating.  Final interment to be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.  Memorial contributions can be made to Natalie's Second Chance No Kill Animal Shelter.  Share memories and condolences at www.simplicity-funeralcare.com.
