Wheelis, Linda L.Linda L. Wheelis, age 73, a Manitowoc resident, died on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.Linda was born on July 22, 1944 in Regina, KY, daughter of the late Efford and Clara (Coleman) McCoy. On May 31, 1963 she married William Wheelis in Chicago, IL. She was a professional caretaker for the young and the elderly for over 25 years. Linda loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering and visiting people who needed company. Survivors include her husband: William Wheelis, Manitowoc; their children: Denise (Mike) Foytik, Manitowoc, Dawneen Wheelis, Jupiter, FL, David (Christine) Wheelis, Manitowoc, Diana Wheelis, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Breanna (Tyler) Crass, Brittany (Matthew) Rick, Andrew George, Olivia Wheelis, Ethan Wheelis and Dawson Wheelis; one great grandchild: Colton Michael Crass; two sisters: Norma (Ted) Farmer and Martha (Robert) Tubbs; one sister-in-law: Wanda Lewis. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Donald McCoy; one sister: Christy (Leston) Darnell; and one sister-in-law: Wilma Moses.Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
