IN LOVING MEMORY OF LILLIE "BELL" SMITH

Lillie Smith, 93, of Clemson, South Carolina, passed Monday, January 06, 2020. Lillie was born to Charles Kirk , and Wanda Kirk, February 16, 1926 in Clemson, South Carolina.

Lillie graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1945 and received a degree from Allen University in 1950 . She married Willie Smith in 1954 , and they lived together in Clemson. Lillie worked at Central Middle School until she retired in 1983 . Lillie Smith and her family were members of Central Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. CS Walker and Rev. Christopher Thompson. Lillie Smith was a true leader in the church coming to the needs of others at all times and was one of the best cooks around. 


Lillie is survived by 3 children: Vance Smith (Mary Smith ), Leroy Smith , and Hope Martin (James Martin ). She is survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grand children who all will miss her dearly. She also is survived by a host of newphews, nieces, cousins, and family friends who will never forget her legacy.
