Lillie Ward, of Syracuse, New York, passed away on January 23, 2025, just two days shy of her 73rd birthday. She was born on January 25, 1952.

She was born in Florida, but spent most of her childhood growing up in Kingstree South Carolina on the family farm. She enjoyed cooking and if you came for a visit, she could often be found cooking in the kitchen.

Mrs. Ward was the widow of late Jerome Ward.

Lillie Ward is survived by her five children: Vincent Ward, Shandell Brown, Shaun Ward, Cody Ward, and Jody Ward. She also had the joy of being a grandmother to nine grandchildren. She cherished her granddaughter, the only girl to be born in two generations.

Lillie can best be remembered for her faith and love of the Lord's Congregation. She always attended service and even after hard times, she faithfully attended them online. Lillie had a caring heart. She tended to her grandmother at the very nursing home she worked. She will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Although she may be gone, she can always be seen in the smile of her children. Something they all shared. Lillie's memory will continue to bring comfort and light to those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
